Beautiful Victorian-style earrings with scintillating opal cabochons set in scalloped buttercup prongs mounted on lever-back fittings. The opals are a pretty pale green colour with mainly peach/green fire.
• Condition: In excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks to the opals.
• Fixing: Lever backs.
• Hallmarks/stamps: None found. The metal tests as 14-carat (585) gold.
• Era: Estimated mid-20th century.
• Size: 1.2cm from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of the earring. The opals measure approx 6mm diameter and the earrings are 8mm wide.
• Weight: 2.1g.
