This fantastic bracelet and earrings set is a classic example of mid-century tropical souvenir jewellery. The pieces are based on Victorian piqué d'or - an intricate 19th century decorative technique developed in France where gold and/or sterling silver is inlaid into a material such as marine shell.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
• Fixing: The earrings have metal screwback fittings and the bracelet fixes with a secure springring clasp.
• Era: Estimated 1950s-60s.
• Size: The bracelet is just over 17cm (almost 7 inches) long, not including the clasp, and each panel is 2.3 x 3.4cm. The earrings measure 4 x 1.8cm.
• Weight: Earrings 3.1g, bracelet 16.1g.
