Fantastic lapis lazuli orbs which rotate inside 14-carat gold settings like little deep blue globes with one or two tiny golden pyrite inclusions. The earrings are unmarked but very similar in style to pieces made by Elis Kauppi for the iconic Finnish Modernist company Kupittaan Kulta.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The lapis lazuli balls have some natural surface imperfections.
• Fixing: Posts and new nine-carat gold butterfly scrolls.
• Hallmarks/stamps: None found on the earrings, which test as 14-carat gold; the butterflies are stamped 9CT.
• Era: Estimated late 20th century.
• Size: The earrings are approximately 1.3cm wide, the lapis balls are 1cm diameter.
• Total weight: 6.2g.
