Beautiful opal cabochon stud earrings with the gems set into deep crown-shaped solid gold settings. The opals are predominantly a pale green with orange and green flashes; one is more fiery than the other.
• Condition: In excellent vintage condition.
• Fixing: Large nine-carat gold butterfly scrolls.
• Hallmarks/stamps: The earrings are unmarked but test as nine-carat (375) gold. The butterflies are stamped 9CT.
• Era: Estimated late 20th century.
• Size: The earrings are approximately 6mm diameter and the top of the opal sits around 5mm above the ear.
• Weight: 1.3g.
