Pretty vintage earrings with carved shell cameos depicting ladies in profile with elegantly dressed hair. The wires are solid nine-carat gold and have lovely flower detailing to the front, while the cameos are set into gilded metal mounts with tiny twinkling marcasites top and bottom.
• Condition: In excellent vintage condition.
• Fixing: Secure ear wires.
• Hallmarks/stamps: Each wire is hallmarked for Birmingham nine-carat gold with the initials PPT. The drops have an illegible stamp on the reverse.
• Era: Mid 20th century.
• Size: Approximately 3.5cm from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring. The cameo drops measure 2 x 1.5cm.
• Weight: 4.2g.
