Pretty vintage gold stud earrings set with glossy amber cabochons mounted in an Art Nouveau-style frame. As a natural substance, each piece of amber has its own unique colour, one a deep carnelian-like tone, the other a slightly paler orange.
• Condition: In excellent vintage condition.
• Hallmarks/stamps: The posts are hallmarked for nine-carat gold. The marks are hard to read as they are a little worn and very tiny but I believe are for Edinburgh Assay Office, 1978. The matching butterflies are stamped 9CT.
• Fixing: Nine-carat gold butterfly scrolls.
• Era: Estimated 1978.
• Size: 1 x 1cm, measured along the side.
• Weight: 2.4g.
