It's not unusual to find earrings from the Victorian Aesthetic Period (c.1885-1901), but this is a very rare style - faceted silver tortoise-shaped domes, each incised by hand with intricate decorative motifs.
• Condition: Excellent antique condition with a lovely patina, see photos.
• Fixing: Silver ear wires, supplied with tiny silicone "keepers" to pop on the ends for security.
• Era: Victorian, 1880s.
• Size: The domes measure approximately 1.8cm across and are around 8mm tall.
• Weight: 3.8g. The earrings are hollow so surprisingly light and comfortable to wear.
PLEASE NOTE! All items are vintage or antique and as such show light general wear appropriate to their age. Bear in mind photos are very magnified and flaws which can be seen in the pictures are often imperceptible to the naked eye in real life. I always do my very best to point out any additional flaws, but please look carefully at all the photos as they are an important part of the listing - and do ask if you have any questions!
Antique boxes are for display only unless stated otherwise.
