Victorian Scottish silver earrings set with polished slices of blue lace agate in a geometric design which has a surprisingly modern feel. The stone-set discs are quite deep, which gives them a pleasing coin-like quality.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria from the mid 1800s when she and Prince Albert frequently visited Scotland and her Scottish castle Balmoral. She loved all things Scottish and spent much time in the Highlands and Cairngorm mountains where these "pebble" stones were collected.

• Condition: The earrings are in excellent antique condition with a lovely aged patina.

• Fixing: Sturdy silver ear wires, supplied with tiny silicone "keepers" to pop on the ends for security.

• Era: Victorian (c.1837-1901).

• Size: The circles measure 2cm diameter, the total drop from the top of the ear wire is 3.5cm.

• Weight: 11.4g.

PLEASE NOTE! All items are vintage or antique and as such show light general wear appropriate to their age. Bear in mind photos are very magnified and flaws which can be seen in the pictures are often imperceptible to the naked eye in real life. I always do my very best to point out any additional flaws, but please look carefully at all the photos as they are an important part of the listing - and do ask if you have any questions!
