This is such a pretty set! Tiny little opal butterflies set into nine-carat gold earrings and pendant on a delicate gold trace chain. The opals are doublets - mounted on a dark backing which accentuates their green/blue fire.
• Fixing: Large nine-carat (375) gold butterfly scrolls.
• Condition: Very good vintage condition; one butterfly earring is missing the tiny tip of its wing.
• Hallmarks/stamps: The pendant is marked 9K. The earrings are unmarked but test as nine-carat gold. The chain is stamped 9K. The butterfly scrolls are stamped 9CT.
• Size: Each opal butterfly is approximately 6 x 10mm. The chain is approx 40cm (16 inches) long.
• Weight: 1.6g.
