Rare Large Victorian Silver Shield Drop Earrings
Rare Large Victorian Silver Shield Drop Earrings
Fantastic sterling silver earrings from the Victorian Aesthetic Period c.1885-1901, each with a large shield crisply engraved with flower detail and hanging from paperclip chains.
• Condition: Very good antique condition, some denting on the back, see photos.
• Fixing: Integral ear wires, supplied with tiny silicone "keepers" to pop on the ends for security.
• Era: Estimated Victorian, 1880s.
• Size: 4.7cm total drop from the top of the ear wire; the shields measure approximately 2 x 1.7cm.
• Weight: 4.3g. The shields are hollow so the earrings are surprisingly light and comfortable to wear.
PLEASE NOTE! All items are vintage or antique and as such show light general wear appropriate to their age. Bear in mind photos are very magnified and flaws which can be seen in the pictures are often imperceptible to the naked eye in real life. I always do my very best to point out any additional flaws, but please look carefully at all the photos as they are an important part of the listing - and do ask if you have any questions!
