Lovely quality solid 14-carat gold stud earrings by the Canadian jewellery company Korite. Korite produces hand crafted pieces set with ethically mined ammolite - a stone which comes from mineralised fossilised ammonites and which, according to Korite, was officially designated a gemstone by the World Jewellery Confederation in 1981, making it the last gemstone to be accepted in the past 300 years. The earrings initially appear to be a very dark green/black but when the light hits them just right they reveal a vivid green colouration, as seen in the photos.

• Fixing: Posts for pierced ears with 14-carat gold butterflies.
• Size: 7mm diameter.
• Hallmarks/stamps: Each earring is stamped 14K on the reverse and on the butterfly, with the Korite logo on the back.
• Weight: 0.9g.
• Era: Late 20th century.
