Fantastically pretty 18th-century earrings set with foiled pastes which sparkle like diamonds. (Diamonds and paste - crystal and later glass - were usually foil backed up till the mid-19th century to make them reflect the candlelight better.) It's nice to see the typically Georgian enclosed backs and crimped collet settings, and all the stones are beautifully white and fiery. The earrings are silver with solid nine-carat gold screws suitable for pierced or unpierced ears.

• Weight: 6.0g.
PLEASE NOTE! All items are vintage or antique and as such show light general wear appropriate to their age. Bear in mind photos are very magnified and flaws which can be seen in the pictures are often imperceptible to the naked eye in real life. I always do my very best to point out any additional flaws, but please look carefully at all the photos as they are an important part of the listing - and do ask if you have any questions!
