A pair of richly coloured antique gilt earrings, each with a polished aventurine teardrop beneath extremely fine handmade filigree flowers and leaves. They have a lovely swinging movement when worn. The earrings are gilded metal with solid nine-carat gold wires.
• Condition: Very good antique condition. There is minor wear to the gold plating, mainly at the top of the drops.
• Fixing: Nine-carat gold (375) ear wires.
• Hallmarks/stamps: None. The wires test as solid gold.
• Size: From the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the drop is approximately 6.8cm long. The pendant sections measure approx 2.8 x 5.5cm.
• Weight: 8.9g.
• Era: Estimated 1800s with later wires.
